Being a caregiver of a mother who has severe schizophrenia isn't easy. To handle someone with schizophrenia means to be able to undertake her emotional outbursts such as false persecution, terrible money spending ( almost to the point of selling the house and be homeless) and verbal +physical abuse 24 hours, every day and night. Sometimes I have thought of suicide as a best way out for 23 years ever since I was born. My sibling and my father thought about depression as well. But being in a community of those who have combated depression or dealt with mental illnesses, mental illness is becoming less and less of a social stigma nowadays. If you are facing someone who has depression, here are some links to help you. Help one another to step out of the abyss before it is too late. Seek help before it is too late. There's nothing shameful about depression, to be honest. I went through therapy once before and it changed my outlook completely towards life.
